You can buy rather inexpensive birdbaths at your local garden center or even make your own from terracotta planters. Make sure that you change the water every couple of days so that it remains fresh and your birds stay healthy.

You can also provide birdseed and food for the birds in your yard. When you leave out a feeder full of seeds, you can be certain that many birds will be visiting your yard. Make sure that the feeder you use is cat safe and protected from the chipmunks and squirrels that like to steal birdseed.

Provide Shelter for Birds In Your Backyard

If you provide shelter for the birds in your yard, you may be able to see the miracle of egg laying. You should provide shelter for the birds from enemies such as cats and even other birds. There are many different birdhouses available which are specially made for a certain types of birds.

Once you have taken care of everything in order to attract birds to your yard, you need to make your yard a comfortable place for you to sit and relax while watching the feathered visitors. You should have comfortable seating which is in a shaded area or you can rig up a canopy and do some backyard birding in comfort.
